This cruise is totally dedicated to the lyrical art, under the artistic direction of Jean-François Vinciguerra, barytone-bass and producer. Join the cruise for a musical voyage from Rossini to Mozart, from Berlioz to Puccini, from Bizet to Massenet... You will enjoy all the greatest operatic moments during three themed evenings exclusively for you on board Le Diamant.

 

The Barber of seville by Gioacchino Rossini, one of the most famous operas of the great Italian repertoire, will be rendered in a "pcket version" specially adapted for this cruise. the Italian maestro's score will be evident as the Italian song and the lyrics of Caron de Beaumarchais are combined. Thanks to the lively production, music-lovers will enjoy all Rossini's music, whilst newcomers will discover the appeals of opera, easily accessible, thanks to the talents of the master of comic opera.

 

Mozart by Candlelight will also be a highlight, during an evening when the performers, dressed in period costumes, will share their passion with you through extracts from Don Giovanni, Cosi Fan Tutte and The Marriage of Figaro from the embracing world of the genius from salzburg.

The art of Opera will be revealed in all its glory during the evening "Gala at the Opera" during which you will hear interpretations of some of the most successful moments of French opera - Faust, the Tales of Hoffmann, Werther; Italian opera - Madame Butterfly, La Traviata, Rigoletto; and then a tribute to Spain through Bizet's Carmen and Massenet's Don Quixote.

All these artists perform regularly at the great opera venues of the world : from Opéra National of Paris-bastille to the Los Angeles Opera, from the Opéra de Lyon to the Opéra Comique of Paris, from the festival of Glyndebourne to the Festival of Aix-en-Provence, from the Puccini Festival of Torre del Lago to the Opera Royal of Wallonia.

 

They will be accompanied on the piano by Sabine Vatin*, a magnificent pianist and artistic consultant to the Théنtre du Châtelet, 1st prize Chamber Music, 1st prize Piano, 1st prize accompanist, 1st prize clavicord, 1st prize basso continuo from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique of Paris.
