Le Diamant

from: 2360,00€

Le Diamant will take you to discover precious evidence of the presence of the Great Civilizations of the Mediterranean Basin, who forged, century after century, the cultural riches of our civilization. Libya is the heir to these fabulous remains, and counts among her many archeological treasures Leptis Magna, the city od Septimus Severus.

Ports of Call…

CATANIA, Sicily – Italy

Destroyed time and again by the eruptions of Mount Etna, Catania is an active port, and will amaze you with the richness of her many baroque monuments, which we owe to the genius of the architect Vaccarini.

DARNAH – Libya

One of the largest cities of Greek Libya in ancient times, Darnah has a rich treasure trove of antiquities : Byzantine basilicas, spas theatre and so forth. Highly valued by the Libyan people, the river, bordered by oleanders, flows through fields and between steep banks, where a few houses cling on amongst the palm trees..

BENGHAZI – Libya

Second city of Libya, and Cyrenaic capital, the riches of this new city come from the oil boom. Benghazi is a proud rival to Tripoli in her modernity.

TRIPOLI – Libye

This city's rich historical heritage is in full evidence, inspired as it is by the past : the reflection of the medina on the stretch of water before the citadel, the Clock Tower, the domes of the Central Bank and of course the minarets of the many mosques, soaring into the sky.

SOUSSE – Tunisia

Very touristy, very vibrant, the third city of Tunisia will delight you : a huge olive grove, a lively port, a medina full of history and one of the most beautiful seaside resorts in the Mediterranean.

TUNIS – Tunisia

On the top of a hill and separated from the sea by a huge lake, the Tunisian capital has two faces : an Arab city which keeps closed within its ramparts one of the finest medinas of the world, and a modern city with typically colonial style buildings. Discover the great mosque of Djamaa Ez-Zitouna, founded in the 8th century, particularly impressive with 15 naves and 186 columns, and the museum of Bardo, or go further a field to discover Carthage and Sidi Bou-Said.
