At the limits of the Sea of Marmara, the gateway to the Black Sea, your tour begins in Istanbul. In the gentle autumn warmth you will enjoy the turquoise waters and archaeological sites of western Turquey, before exploring the islands of the Dodecanese and finishing in Crete.

CANNAKALE - Turkey

This town on the edge of the Dardanelles strait is known for the fabulous archaeological site of ancient Troy.

CHIOS - Greece

Inhabited by sailors and traders, this island, thought to be the cradle of Homer and with Ottoman influences, has enticing scenery and a rich historical past.

KUSADASI - Turkey

This is the access port to one of the greatest archaeological sites of Turkey, Ephesus, home of one of seven wonders of the world, the Temple of Artemis.
   

PATMOS - Greece

 

This little island in the Dodecanese, with its pretty floral display of oleander trees, is a site of Christian pilgrimage, because it was here that St John received the divine inspirations to write Revelations.

 

RHODES - Greece

 

Its fine sand beaches and luminous sunshine make this a very special port of call, but the interior is also well worth a visit : you will see beautifully kept villages nestled at the foot of the mountains as well as lush forests. As for the old town of Rhodes, extraordinarily well preserved, it is a world heritage site -the largest inhabited mediaeval town in Europe.

   

SANTORINI - Greece

This is the most spectacular of the Greek islands with its black sand beaches and cliffs streaked with layers of lava, plunging down into the sea. The huge sea-filled crater entrances all visitors.
