VALETTA - Malta
Capiatl of Malta, the name comes from its
Greek name 'Melita' which means 'bee',
reflecting the ochre and yellow walls of the
city. The city is packed with gems : the
Barracca gardens, and the ancient cities of
Senglea, Cospicua and Vittoriosa, the Cathedral
of St John, and the Palace of the Great
Masters...

SOUSSE - Tunisia
Very touristy, very vibrant, the third
city of Tunisia will delight you : a huge olive
grove, a lively port, a medina full of history
and one of the most beautiful seaside resorts
inthe Mediterranean.
TUNIS - Tunisia
On the top of a hill and separated from
the sea by a huge lake, the Tunisian capital has
two faces : an Arab city which keeps closed
within its ramparts one of the finest medinas of
the world, and a modern city with typically
colonial style buildings. |

|
PALERMO, Sicily - Italy
The principal port and capital of Sicily,
Palermo is to be found at the end of a large and
magnificent bay. Behind the port, there is a
huge plain circled with hills covered with fruit
trees which you will find as enchanting as the
colourful baroque town.
LIPARI - Italy
At
the heart of the Aeolian Isles, Lipari, the
capital of a volcanic archipelago - still active
- will reveal spectacular sights : fig trees,
azure skies, and turquoise waters where you will
see flying fish, turtles and swordfish. |

NAPLES - Italy
Monumental, picturesque, overcrowded, romantic,
this city of a thousand faces has captivated
poets, writers and artists. Its cultural and
historic richness are unmatched, but its
reputation has also been founded on its culinary
and musical traditions.
THE ITALIAN COAST
Returning towards Nice, you will pass the lenght
of the regions of Calabria, Campania, Lazio, and
of course the unforgettable Tuscany. Your
Italian calls will take you to Civitavecchia to
visit Rome, and then to the little port of
Portoferraio on the isle of Elba. From Livorno,
we suggest you visit Pisa or Florence. You will
finish this cruise with the little port of
Portofino, a haven of peace offering an
unmatchable view over the Gulf of Genes. |
