The principal port and capital of Sicily,
Palermo is to be found at the end of a large and
magnificent bay. Behind the port, there is a
huge plain circled with hills covered with fruit
trees which you will find as enchanting as the
colourful baroque town.

the heart of the Aeolian Isles, Lipari, the
capital of a volcanic archipelago - still active
- will reveal spectacular sights : fig trees,
azure skies, and turquoise waters where you will
see flying fish, turtles and swordfish. |

Returning towards Nice, you will pass the lenght
of the regions of Calabria, Campania, Lazio, and
of course the unforgettable Tuscany. Your
Italian calls will take you to Civitavecchia to
visit Rome, and then to the little port of
Portoferraio on the isle of Elba. From Livorno,
we suggest you visit Pisa or Florence. You will
finish this cruise with the little port of
Portofino, a haven of peace offering an
unmatchable view over the Gulf of Genes. |
