Zaha Hadid: The Selected Architect of CMA CGM New Head Office Building

The architect Zaha HADID has been selected to design the new CMA-CGM headquarters buiding in Marseille-Euromediterranee after an international architectural consultation.

Zaha HADID was born in 1950.
She studied at the American University of Beyrouth and at the Architectural Association in London. After taking her diploma, she integrated the « Office for Metropolitan
Architecture », OMA.

Her style is caracterised by the importance she gives to interlaced bended ligns and curves, acute angles, overlayed plans, that bring both complexity and mildness to her achievements. She took part to the international competition for the Musée des Civilisations de l’Europe et de la Méditerranée in Marseille, on J4 area in the Cité de la
Méditerranée perimeter.

Her main achievements are:

- The Rosenthal Center for Contemporany Arts in Cincinnati, United-States
- The new ski jump in Innsbruck, Austria
